How to Make Chewy Granola Bars

I am going to show you how to make chewy granola bars. I created this recipe to use with any granola you have on hand.

To get you started, here are some easy homemade granola recipes. You can also use store-bought granola if you prefer.

Orange Chocolate Granola

Classic Granola with Nut Butter

Steel Cut Granola

Sourdough Discard Granola

Ingredients

6 Tbsp salted butter, plus more for greasing the pan

420 grams of homemade marshmallows

8 cups of granola (see list above)

1 tsp vanilla extract, optional

Equipment

1 saucepan

1 8×8 baking dish

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8 square baking dish
  2. Melt the 6 Tbsp of butter in the saucepan
  3. Add homemade marshmallows, stir until melted
  4. Turn off the heat and add the granola to the mixture
  5. Add vanilla extract, if desired
  6. Spread the mixture into the prepared dish
  7. Let bars set before slicing into (up to a few hours)
  8. Slice into bars and enjoy!
  9. Store extras in an airtight container for up to a week

Chewy Granola Bars

These chewy granola bars are similar to a rice krispie treat, only made with granola instead. It's super easy and quick to make!
